This amazing location is the birthplace to the most famous white horses in the world, the Lipizzaner Stallions. Piber presents several highlights to enhance your visit. A guided stud tour will offer an insight into the breeding and rearing of the foals whereas the carriage ride allows for you to take in the whole area while being led by two Lipizzaner mares. Another highlight is the visit of the mares and their foals, around 40 of them every year, sometimes even born only days or hours prior to your arrival. These younglings are still in their brown, black or grey fur coat, the male horses will receive their distinct white coat later. Once every few years a foal keeps their brown coat into adulthood, these individuals are seen as a lucky charm for the whole institution.
